Basket Filter

Basic Definition

It is a coarse pipeline filter with coaxial straight inlet and outlet, equipped with an internal flat-bottom stainless steel filter basket. Different from arc-bottom types, its cylinder adopts flat bottom structure, mainly installed in front of pumps for pipeline pre-filtration and impurity removal to protect downstream equipment.

Working Principle

Media horizontally flows straight into the cylinder, passes through the flow guide and penetrates the filter basket. Solid impurities are trapped inside the basket while clean medium flows straight out. When pressure difference rises, open the cover to take out and clean the filter basket; residual liquid can be drained via the bottom drain plug.

Core Advantages

Straight-through flow channel features low resistance and large flow capacity; the filter basket provides a filtration area 2–3 times that of the pipeline diameter.

Flat bottom design offers large dirt holding capacity and reduces clogging from accumulated residues.

Easy maintenance by taking out the basket after opening the cover, compatible with water, oil, gas and other media.

Sizes range from DN25 to DN1000, pressure rating PN10–PN100, suitable for high and low temperature working conditions.

Application Scenarios

Widely used in petroleum, chemical, water treatment, hydraulic, food, HVAC pipelines. Installed upstream of pumps, valves and instruments to intercept welding slag, particles and debris, protecting downstream equipment.
